Retail Sales Manager – CTV Calgary
Calgary, Alberta
The successful candidate would be a self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude
and a passion for sales, combined with experience and desire to manage a highly creative team of sales professionals.
Under the direction of the General Sales Manager – Bell Media Calgary, this position will manage the Calgary TV sales team, as well as maintain and develop major accounts. In order to do so, responsibilities will include:
* Manage the day to day operation of the TV Sales Dept and Team.
* Liaise with CTV Calgary Mgmt on behalf of the GSM.
* Contact decision makers and conduct thorough interviews with targeted accounts.
* Compile research, create promotional ideas, present & sell business solutions to all major accounts.
* “Super Serve” all accounts with the utmost of integrity and professionalism, with the goal to assist them with achieving results and moving their business forward.
* Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and co-ordinate internally with our Retail Sales Team.
* Be an advocate, ambassador and mentor Account Executives seeking always to drive the best possible solutions for client and station.
* Forecast, strategize and execute to drive revenue.
* Positively reinforce the value of “active listening” both in tasks at hand as well as with the dynamics of the sales team.
* Facilitate weekly meetings as required, and provide weekly call planning and reporting as required.
* Work within the station’s core values of Integrity, Creativity, Respect and Teamwork.
* Post-secondary education in Sales or Marketing, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in a sales-related field, managing people, in a similar size market, with a proven track record of achievement and increasing sales.
* Demonstrated success in handling and influencing key decision makers with major accounts.
* Strong negotiating skills and public speaking skills are a must.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Power Point.
* Highly motivated, dependable and energetic
