The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.
The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Solutions Architecture, the incumbent is a senior technical Business Analyst for managed infrastructure services.
The Senior Business Analyst is a member of a delivery team, supporting both new development/project-based efforts and production support. Beyond the facilitation of the up-front business requirements and system requirements gathering sessions and resulting documentation, the Sr Technical BA is responsible for the assessment of business requirements, and the subsequent development of conceptual solutions that meet requirements; model the pieces of an infrastructure and their points of integration; prove the feasibility of a design; guide a solution through to its completion and ultimately can be implemented and supported in production.
The candidate must have a good knowledge of market trends, Leadership experience in identification and definition of customer needs and solutions through the production of Business Requirements and Conceptual solution like documentation
Main Responsibilities:
* In connection with his field of expertise, participates and represents the team during bidding process, due diligence reviews of new clients, work tables or other.
* Define requirements and solutions through the production of Business Requirements and Conceptual solutions like documentation
* Analyzes management tools requirements for Bell Marketing, operations and customers
* Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design a solution that meets customer and operational requirements
* Ability to gain buy-in on proposed solutions
* Provide technical expertise to propose level of effort estimates (LOE)
* Assist in identifying the technologies to employ based on price, performance, service agreements and organization constraints
* Participates in the planning and coordination of deliverables and timelines for projects.
* Study market trends in terms of technological developments to ensure the leading position of Bell's managed services
Knowledge and Special Qualifications:
* First Cycle University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
* 7-10 years of experience in a Business Analysis role, infrastructure and network management preferably in an environment of Telecommunications Management (Network, Security, VoIP, Servers)
* Knowledge of Business supporting systems and ITSM Concepts such as Maximo, Remedy, Service Now
* Absolute ability to see the business problem and drive the business solution, all through the eyes of the customer.
* Demonstrated skill and experience leading multi-disciplinary JAD sessions.
* Demonstrated skill and experience dealing with multiple vendors in the creation of end to end solutions
* Demonstrated skill and experience building and delivering presentations for all levels of the organization and in front of a customer
* Demonstrates structure, capacity analysis, synthesis , organized in execution of challenges
* Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio)
* Bilingual (English and French)
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge about network management tools such as Smarts, CA Spectrum, Prognosis, Nimsoft etc..
* Knowledge of technologies and protocols Cisco and Avaya IP Telephony
* Experience in practice and industry standards (ITIL, ISO 27001-2005, ...)
