Position Description:
Bell is looking for a motivated and autonomous Networking Design Specialist for its Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver Sales team.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
* Ability to conduct professional formal presentations of network solutions to customers and/or internal staff
* Designs and helps to sell
* Integrated and cost-effective IT solutions
* Provide appropriate pre-sales technical assistance and correct configuration generating targeted customer solutions to Bell Canada sales teams to meet customer needs. This includes assisting with RFP (Request for Proposals) responses
* Be competent in key 3rd party complementary products (e.g. VMware, Oracle, Citrix etc.)
* Attend relevant training and events
* Help develop and implement account management strategies
* Take part in efforts to ensure overall customer satisfaction and ensures follow-up
* Initiates and coordinates the efforts of internal and external partners, as required
* Drafts proposals, analyzes calls for tender, helps develop, negotiate and present contracts
* This position reports directly to the Senior Manager – Technical Architecture
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* General technical skills with expertise in IT Networking and Data Centre technologies
* Presales Design Certified (CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, ASE, ASE, AIS, etc)
* Business acumen, understanding of business and financial processes
* University degree or equivalent experience
* Three to five years of design /sales experience
* Demonstrated results in designing / selling several IT solutions
* Knowledge of overall Data Centre Architecture
* Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners
* Ability to coordinate teams in the context of presales activities
* Ability to explain in plain language complex IT solutions to a non-technical audience
* Ability to successfully develop and implement account strategies
* Ability to communicate easily and write business documents with accuracy
