Corporate Services offers best practice services to support the organization, including Communications, Human Resources, Real Estate, Procurement and Legal.
Acting as Engineering service Manager you will provide guidance to operational activities related to the electrical infrastructure required for the proper functioning of a telecomunication and data center production environment. In addition you will provide technical support on project management and operation activities. You will participate in the strategic analysis related to risk management and mitigation. In order to do so, you will identify frame for study and perform study analysis. In this sense, you'll be called as expert to identify, discuss and validate initiatives to meet growth targets and or minimize the risks. You'll have to contribute on critical systems commissioning and to validate the robustness.
Roles and responsibilities:
* Studies definition and analysis to provide action plan in order to meet growth targets and or minimize operational risks
* Supply technical support on Project management for complex project and electrical infrastructure operational activities
* Define the functional and technical programs and the engineering standards of the company, for the realization of projects aimed primarily at ensuring the reliability of the telecommunications network and meet the needs of growth.
* Define the implementation of design guidelines and / or integrated solutions with our partners (suppliers and engineering firm)
* Assist in the review of specific methods and procedures (SMOP) related to the achievement of a high risk work.
* Identify risks and good operational practices
* Act as an expert in the technical management of electricity infrastructure and the establishment of corporate policies
* Assist in the commissioning of critical equipment supporting production systems mentioned in the job description.
* Working with equipment manufacturers, contractors and consultants, as the factory test to validate the performance and proper functioning of equipment and critical systems delivered.
Qualifications and skills requirement:
* University or college degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of telecommunications equipment / data center
* Knowledge of power systems DC / UPS / Generators / electrical equipment of power.
* Minimum 3-5 years experience in the design, or management of electricity infrastructure within critical building.
* Good knowledge of concepts specific to a mission-critical applications
* Good knowledge of building codes and the Electrical Code CSA C22.10-10
* Good knowledge of codes related to exposure to electric arcs (CSA Z462 [NFPA 70E])
* Dynamic and be able to work as a team.
* Available to travel.
* Bilingual.
Can be considered an asset:
* Registered as professional engineer.
* Knowledge of certifications "TIER" of "up time institute"
* Knowledge of practices commissioning of critical equipment
* Good knowledge multidisciplinary project. (mechanical equipment)
