Name and description of the hiring department:
Bell Business Markets Managed Services. Reporting to the Manager, the team supports and delivers services related to customers’ private networks outsourced to Bell Canada.
Job duties / accountabilities:
* Quickly handles incidents and problems according to customer service levels. Diagnoses and resolves incidents and problems, ensuring that Bell Canada criteria and procedures for Desjardins are respected.
* Documents any action taken
* during releases into production, when service requests are implemented or when incidents and problems are resolved regarding providing and delivering network service to customers. Follows up with customers and suppliers.
* Handles releases into production and service requests related to customers’ networks, in keeping with Bell Canada criteria and procedures (e.g. ISO, ITIL).
* Coordinates (from preparation to execution) the application of releases into production and service requests with stakeholders.
* Participates in the delivery of customer projects through releases into production (deployment/migration), by completing assigned activities effectively and on schedule.
* Ensures the integrity of data entered in network management tools and databases, and makes any necessary changes to ensure the data reflects the customer’s production environment.
* As needed, acts as the customer’s point of contact and handles recurring problems. Follows up on the status of projects, releases into production and service requests from the customer, with members of his or her team.
Essential Qualifications / competencies:
* College-level diploma in computer science with a specialization in telecommunications or equivalent work experience in managing customer networks.
* Thorough knowledge of the OSI model.
* Two years’ experience in multi-protocol network interconnection service provision and/or delivery as a front-line agent.
* Knowledge of network protocols, network management systems and LAN and WAN systems.
* Knowledge of VOIP.
* Basic knowledge of frame relay, ATM, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
* CCNA or equivalent work experience.
* Expert in client relation experience.
* French: reading,writing, speaking (5-5-5) / 5 = Fluent in the language with no significant limitation.
* English: reading,writing,speaking (3-3-3) / 3 = Working ability to carry out normal business in the language.
