The Bell Residential Services (BRS) Finance team is responsible for reporting results of one of the largest revenue generating business units in Bell Canada as well as one of the business’ growth areas. The team is responsible for financial planning, forecasting & reporting coordination across all expense lines. The team works closely with various finance teams, strategic planning and corporate groups. The mandate of the team is to deliver insightful financial information &]analysis to the executive team to influence decision making and drive greater profitability, while ensuring financial integrity.
The Manager, Advertising & Promotions and Allocated Expenses will be responsible for the analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and long range planning of all BRS Advertising & Promotion Expenses as well as Allocated Costs. The role provides an opportunity to work in a highly visible, constantly evolving, stimulating and dynamic expense portfolio providing direct support to the BRS Executive team. The successful candidate must have a minimum 3 years experience in finance/planning and analysis roles and will report to the Senior Manager, Planning and Analysis.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
* Month-end reporting and variance analysis on Advertising & Promotions as well as Allocated Expenses
* Key Finance Prime working with all cost factories (i.e. BRS Direct, Customer Operations, Network, Field Services, etc) and support allocations
* Support the financial forecasting process for in-year forecasts, budget and long range planning
* Drive detailed analytics on Product profitability
* Manage multiple deadlines and meet all corporate requirements
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of information
* Provide continuous improvement of the forecasting and budgeting process.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* 3 years experience in financial analysis and planning
* Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, work on various deliverables simultaneously and prioritize
* Ability to see the “big picture” and to summarize into an executive review
* Very strong analytical skills
* Ability to partner with various cross-functional groups and management levels
* Strong communication skills along with the ability to convey financial analysis to management
* Working knowledge of SAP and Bell’s financial systems and processes; knowledge of BPC system is an asset
* Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues and tasks through to resolution
* Relentless attention to detail and accuracy
