The Residential Service Representative will work in a fast-paced professional contact center environment taking inbound/outbound calls for all types of residential customers, including landline, wireless, internet and mobility. He/she will be responsible for answering queries about products, service, billing, complaints, and other company related information. The incumbent will also be responsible for generating revenues by promoting and selling the company's products and services at every opportunity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College diploma in Marketing or Business administration and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is essential.
SKILLS
- Previous experience in customer service is required
- Previous sales experience
- Knowledge of NorthernTel online systems is an asset
- Knowledge of NorthernTel products and services is an asset
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Excellent telephone skills and professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including: listening, probing, questioning, negotiating and conflict resolution skills to be displayed during call monitoring
- Sound problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
- Detail-oriented
- Good keyboarding skills essential
- Sales/selling skills is essential
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent planning and organizational skills required
- Excellent customer service skills are required
ABILITY
- To work different shifts and to work extra hours as required, on short notice, to meet customer commitments
- Work in a fast paced, continually changing call center environment
- Although part of a team, ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Provide quality service and ensure total customer satisfaction at all times
- Must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate business attire
- Successfully complete initial three-week training session as well as any other training programs required by the position.
