The Bell TV Broadcast Engineering & Operations Team is committed to delivering Canada’s best content and services to our customers through next-generation services for TV (Satellite and Fibe TV), as well as the introduction of new technologies and products across Bell’s coast-to-coast network. We build and deliver stunning picture quality and reliable service for all of Bell’s video services and manage a fleet of Bell’s satellites with 24 hour support. Working as a Manager of Bell TV Access Security, Commercial, Testing and Support team you will be working in a dynamic fast paced environment, and responsible for crucial elements in delivery of Bell TV service to our customers all over Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

* Execution and support for business customers in the commercial and hospitality industry;
* Managing the overall design and architecture of numerous commercial solutions, including broad range of security technologies, systems and applications architecture inclusive of multiple hardware and software platforms.
* Developing and evaluating new solution and vendor relationships as driven by business needs, market and technology trends.
* Supporting the Satellite and Terrestrial Relay Distribution group (SRDU/TRDU);
* Working with vendors to facilitate hardware and software development. Supporting business development initiatives focusing on SRDU/TRDU customer base development.
* Managing the overall support structure for all SRDU/TRDU clients.
* Developing and managing client relationships in relation to delivery of service.
* Supporting Nagra Conditional Access System (CAS);
* Oversee Nagra CA system (CAS) and Push VOD (FVOD) system operation, maintenance and deployment ;
* Manage integration of CAS/FVOD with set-top boxes and Systems Configuration (encoding) ;
* Manage channel launching and packaging /repackaging;
* Manage system security, counter measure operations ;
* Project facilitation based on business requirements ;
* Manage Smartcard/set-top refurbishment/replacement/inventory ;
* Help architect system and network infrastructure ;
* Lead the planning and scoping activities for new project opportunities
* Work collaboratively with a broad range of technical resources in the team and various Business stakeholders in the delivery and execution of projects.
* Introduce new technologies, features and services at Super Video Head End
* Provide regular reporting of project status, accomplishments, forthcoming milestones, and challenges to Management and Executive team members.
* Lead the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously with varying scope, timelines, and importance within the team.
* Establish and build partnerships with other Bell teams and vendors involved in your projects.
* Seek out opportunities for improving the current organizational structure to drive better and effective performance

Required Qualifications:

* University degree and related working experience required
* Minimum 5 years experience in a network Broadcast/Telecom role.
* Minimum 5 years experience in Team Manager role.
* Strong leadership skills
* Excellent communication skills (verbally and in writing).
* Project Management training and experience building and tracking Project plans.
* Demonstrated success in coaching large teams towards team deliveries and focused personal growth
* Demonstrated success in leading teams with diversified portfolio of responsibilities.
* Good understanding of DVB standard: SI, EPG, ECM, simulcrypt;
* Familiarity with Conditional Access systems ;
* Understanding of Smartcard based signal security ;
* Understanding of TCP/IP network, SAN and FC ;
* Knowledge of UNIX (AIX) and Oracle ;
* Working experience with Systems Architecture;
* Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced, changing environment and managing multiple simultaneous projects.
* Capital management forecasting and profiling
* Working knowledge of project and process management practices
* Quick, Quality Decision Making (particularly in highly stressful situations)
* Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines, as well as looking for ways to constantly improve on day to day activities within the Operations district.
* Strong interpersonal skills. Must be a team player and ability to communicate with technical & non-technical individuals, as well as Management and Executive teams.

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Math
