This role is for Télébec internal Unifor Clerical and associated applicants only. External applicants will not be considered.
Job summary
The incumbent's primary focus will be to respond to inquiries from the authorized dealers of Télébec Mobilité / NorthernTel Mobility and Kerona, and perform all tasks related to the cellular contracts issued by the latter.
Duties:
- Respond to inquiries from authorized dealers and provide them with required details about plans, features, procedures, promotions, general network information, cellular coverage, and roaming usage.
- Process contracts (new activations and renewals) received in Left Turn Manager (LTM). Check whether information included in contracts is accurate and complete.
- Determine whether requests can be processed or additional information is required based on reasons given in LTM. In the latter case, send a faxback to the agent in Tandem (or other system) notifying him about the request status and additional required information.
- If the system recommends a deposit, check the credit rating (Beacon, InfoCom) and, if applicable, any overdue accounts.
- Based on pre-set criteria on the intranet and own judgement, determine whether a security deposit should be required and, if so, what the amount should be.
- Process virtual counters received in Actinet, i.e. all transactions that agents are unable to complete directly in Left Turn (example: Head Office account, reduction in contract term, change in hierarchy, etc.).
- Complete all OnStar activations and deactivations.
- Process all portability requests and contact CGT as required to resolve conflicting contracts.
- Inform associates regarding any changes or problems involving LTM.
Minimum requirements:
- Diploma of collegial studies in administration or equivalent work experience
- Sales experience (an asset)
- Familiarity with computer software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Fluency in French and English
Skills/traits:
- Strong customer focus
- Sales savvy
- High level of professionalism
- Ability to employ business language in dealing with customers
- Very strong team player
- Responsible self-starter
- Willing to work evenings and weekends (flexible schedule)
