Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.
The Role
Reporting to the Director or Chief of Management, the incumbent of this position is responsible for the engineering design and integration of telephony solutions meeting needs expressed by the client.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect information related to telecommunication needs expressed by the client. Analyze and recommend solutions. Develop thorough proposals including technical and financial elements.
* Design engineering for telephony solutions. Produce drawings, configurations and specifications for achievement of tasks related to the selected solution. Make sure of good solution integration in the customer environment and processes
* Prepare the documentation of the solutions in order to allow its management by the Operations team in the “day 2”
* Coordinate tasks required for the implementation of the solution chosen by the client. Provide follow-up to ensure terms of specifications are complied with.
* Recommend upgrades, improvements or technological changes in order to maintain network infrastructure operable and effective.
* Analyze news products and propose recommendations. Prepare tests plans to introduce new products make sure solutions are tested and bugs are corrected
* Produce and draft technical reports on request.
* Act as technical consultant and advisor for operational groups and management specific to field of expertise.
* Act on behalf of his team in different comities
Critical Competencies
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering with major in Telecommunications, Computer Sciences or equivalent. Or equivalent experience
* Minimum of four (4) years experience in the field of Telephony telecommunications
* Very good knowledge of Cisco telephony products. Certifications are an asset
* Good experience in Telephony delivery projects
* Good experience in the IP TEL management will be an asset
* Good Knowledge and experience with IP telephony, circuits etc..
* Good experience in Cisco telephony solution design and delivery
* Good capacity to coordinate different activities to deliver a solution
* Good experience and Knowledge of data environment will be an asset
* Interest in learning and enhancement of knowledge and expertise
* Proactivity and capacity to have an end to end vision on mandates and solutions
* Autonomy and excellent aptitudes de manage time and tasks
* Good French speaking and writing
* Bilingual ( asset)
