The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace.
The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.

The Product Solutions team at Bell Residential Services (BRS) is at the forefront of new product innovation and enhancements to video, internet services and voice. Our mission is to identify, develop, deploy and manage the hottest next generation services, like Fibe TV, that simplify and enhance the communication experience for the Canadian consumer at home and away. This team is driving innovation and change inside and outside of Bell.
The team is seeking a high energy individual to fill a Project Analyst of Capital Planning and Strategy. This team sits within the Bell Residential Services Product Team, but the individual in this role will have broader accountability across the entire Bell Residential Services Team.
The Planning and Strategy team works inside the Product Solutions umbrella; team responsibilities include:
-Strategic planning for the entire Bell Residential Services team
-Leading strategic initiatives for Bell Residential Services
-Business case development for capital projects
-Product strategy
-Capital planning and strategy
Role and Responsibilities
Each day at BRS is unique so there is no typical day. However, responsibilities for the Analyst, Capital Planning and Strategy fall into four broad categories:
1- Manage the capital approval process end-to-end
- Liaise with IT, Finance, Customer Operations and Project Primes within BRS
- Participate in weekly Senior Executive discussions for project approvals
- Track development of all projects on an ongoing basis – act as the central point of knowledge of project details, status, costs, etc.
2- Budgeting and prioritization
- Manage multi-million dollar CAPEX and OPEX budgets
- Maintain the capital and OPEX prioritization list for BRS’ product development and customer experience improvement initiatives
- Work with senior executives to continuously reprioritize
3- Strategic planning
- Develop future years’ capital plans, working with the senior executive team
- Develop business cases for some capital projects
- Assist with other strategic initiatives undertaken by the team
4- Coaching and guidance to members of the project community
- Train and educate BRS Project Primes on the Capital Approval and Project Management Processes
- Continually search for opportunities to simplify or improve processes

-Solid business analytics and financial acumen
-Ability to confidently lead large cross-functional teams and influence without authority
-Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels
-Quick learner and able to hit the ground running
-Highly organized individual
