Web Producer, CTV Digital (One Year Contract) (Toronto, ON, CA)

Responsibilities:
CTV Digital is seeking a super-organized, content management wizard for our open Web Producer position. The ideal candidate has a mix of creative, content and project management skills to keep CTV.ca fresh and up to date. The Web Producer makes sure our team of content producers have the tools they need and finds creative ways to drive forward our priorities on the site. With a head for analytics, this position helps the team connect the dots to understand what is working best to find new opportunities for audience growth.

Responsibilities include:
• Liaise with CTV programming to update CTV.ca with schedule changes, program information and other timely updates related to broadcast priorities on CTV and CTV Two.
• Own the process for creating new show pages, coordinating the efforts of support teams (creative, UX, engineering) and other Web Producers on the CTV.ca team. Manage the deadlines and quality control process.
• Own a suite of programs and develop an appropriate content strategy including written content, photo galleries and video content to maximize the experience.
• Champion new concepts for the site and constantly look for opportunities in which to broaden the online user experience and increase engagement.
• Create, acquire and curate written and non-written content.
• Live in analytics daily, looking for interesting audience behaviour across the site as it relates to content, promotions, incoming referrals, etc. and disseminate that information across the team.
• Direct social media, promotion and other communication efforts to drive audience to assigned programs.
• Track and report on web traffic/audience behaviour for assigned programs.
• Liaise with marketing, communications, programming, sales and brand partnership teams in order to attain information and assets for upcoming shows, projects and contesting initiatives.
• Ensure quality control and production standard of materials.
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Producer.
 

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years experience in digital media and web production with a focus in entertainment content production
• University or Post-Secondary education
• Experience working as Content Producer on a digital content team
• Journalism experience or writing background an asset
• Strong familiarity with Photoshop for editing and optimizing images
• Experience with web traffic analysis through Google Analytics or Omniture
• Demonstrated successful experience managing multiple projects and priorities
• Experience in video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Premiere) considered an asset
• Fluency with online communities and social media
• Experience working with a content management system (CMS) to update a website
• Experience with basic web languages considered an asset (HTML, XML, meta-data, SEO, etc.)
• Portfolio of work that displays a talent for packaging online content via text, video, photos, etc considered an asset
• Experience working in an editorial capacity for a recognizable online media outlet
• Ability to thrive and work in an environment that is fast-paced, demands creativity and the ability to execute against challenging timelines
• Knowledge of publishing to other digital media platforms including mobile, podcasting, etc.
• Familiarity with technical specifications and formats for online video considered an asset
