Job title : Associate Design and Draw Detailed Engineering
 

The FTTH Access Quebec team sees in the deployment of new the outside fiber network by means of plans of work and estimate of engineering, to serve our customers with high technologies.

 

Job Duties / Accountabilities:

 

  • Design and create engineering specifications/plans/drawings and determine the appropriate equipment/installation needs.
  • Analyze the job requirements and assess technical scope of job.
  • Create, conduct and/or validate site survey/job design information.
  • Create and validate detailed cost analysis to include material lists and installation costs.
  • Provide support to internal and external groups.
  • Modify various company databases and technical documents.
  • Prioritize and assure the follow-up of the working activities according to the internal and external requirements.    

                                                                                                          

Essential Qualifications / Competencies:

 

  • Good knowledge of the steps involved in completing outdoor projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP (P50) and Network X.
  • Knowledge of the network plans of work.
  • Analytical skills, ability to resolve problems and capacity to take decision.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change of processes and priorities.
  • Self-sufficient and dynamic.
  • Precision in the execution of work.
  • Organisation and planning skills.
  • Innovative attitude to simplify the search for solutions.
  • Work efficiently with the team and like to meet challenges.
  • Ability to share knowledge.
  • French (5-5-5) / 5 = Fluent in the language with no significant limitation.
  • English  (3-3-3) / 3 = Working ability to carry out normal business in the language.

 

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

 

  • Ability to negotiate with internal and external clients.
  • Knowledge of the following system: IPAIRE, Network X, VISIO.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
