The Wholesale Finance Department consists of highly engaged professionals driving business results with integrity through objective value, analysis and advice.

 

The Role:

  • Provide quality analysis and recommendations to Bell Management, key stakeholders and internal customers
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of results with analysis
  • Implement financial strategies to create shareholder value.

 

Job Duties/ Accountabilities:

  • To be successful, the manager must be a strategic thinker, a self-starter, results oriented, and a strong and effective communicator to individuals across various functional groups.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Forecast and Plan for all products associated with the internet portfolio as well as internal (intercompany) transactions
  • Work with Wholesale marketing (product) team to understand and strive to minimize variances to the forecast and plan. 
  • Maintain ownership of the Internal P/L (intercompany transactions) to ensure accuracy between Bell and its subsidiaries
  • Track, analyze and explain monthly reporting results for the internet portfolio and internal (intercompany) transactions.
  • Develop strong relationships with sales and product teams including senior management to present results, develop forecasts / budgets, and provide insightful analysis to guide superior decision making on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with the product team to establish models for future internet related promotions
  • Manage the carve-out process which transfers revenue between Bell and Bell Aliant
  • Develop and lead the implementation of continuous improvements to increase financial and operational performance
  • Engage with product and sales to ensure an interlocked forecast. Provide recommendations to management on what to forecast. Identify opportunities / risks and manage them.

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • The successful candidate must have:
  • An interest in obtaining an accounting designation or MBA coupled with 1-3 years of well rounded accounting and financial management experience
  • Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Strong business modelling skills – advanced Excel skills a must
  • Passion about their profession and ability to create a fun environment to work in under demanding timelines
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to articulate analytical results and tell a story
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable dealing with Senior Management, excellent interpersonal skills, enabling attitude
  • Self motivated and Autonomous

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Post Secondary Degree - with a focus in Finance/Accounting 
  • An accounting designation – CMA, CGA, or CA
