Location: 299 Queen St W. Toronto  
Salary: Unifor 723M - Group E- Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.


Responsibilities:
• Generating interesting, original and current segment  ideas and angles for a live, daily show
• Superior skills planning and executing unique in-studio segments
• Finding and booking the best possible guest (expert or real person) for each show
• Initiate, write and produce field pieces
• Keep up-to-date on the latest lifestyle trends and topics
• Communicating and collaborating with the production team about every element of your segment


Qualifications:
• 2- 3 years of proven experience as a Segment Producer
• Post- secondary degree/ diploma in television production, broadcasting or journalism.
• Experience in generating segment ideas and casting experts and real people
• Experience in setting up segments in-studio
• Experience working in an edit suite
• Strong knowledge and passion of lifestyle topics
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines of several simultaneous duties, while maintaining focus and composure.
• Excellent communication skills – oral and written
• Ability to work well in a team and be self-motivated, positive attitude a must.
