The Bell Canada Finance Support Team, committed to continuous value creation and uncompromised integrity in the delivery of support and expertise on SAP Business Warehouse/Intelligence (BI/P58) , is seeking a qualified candidate to assume the role of Manager, Finance  - Systems Support-SAP BI.

 

The candidate will support the Finance community of Bell Canada and its subsidiaries by providing SAP BI expertise to increase user knowledge and enable proficiency in using the system effectively and efficiently. By actively listening to our clients needs the candidate will be able to identify improvement opportunities and simplify their BI working environment.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • As the first point of contact, provide effective, timely and knowledgeable SAP BI support to Bell Canada finance community
  • Understand the user  needs, develop business requirements, create trouble tickets to CGI through the Help Desk Self Serve (HDSS) system, partner with external/internal teams to develop solutions to the issues and communicate the solution to user
  • Assist with investigations, reporting and issue resolution; escalate and expedite as required
  • Provide classroom and one-on-one training to BI Users
  • Educate and promote SAP BI by developing and conducting SAP BI coaching sessions
  • Develop and maintain SAP BI documentation (e.g.  training material, user guides, forms, hints & tips document)
  • Take active part in the upgrades/enhancements to the BI environment or any project impacting BI and partner with IT and other parties
  • Develop & document team processes to adhere to SOX initiatives
  • Work with Auditors and SOX teams to provide data and validation
     

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Bell BI environment
  • 3-5 years of financial/accounting experience or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and system oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to take ownership of issues and tasks through to resolution
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, unstructured environment with minimum supervision
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Finance environment background (Revenues/Capital/Assets/Expenses)
  • Working knowledge of BPC and SAP FI, CO and PS modules
  • IT/Business degree and/or Accounting designation or working toward an Accounting designation
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Customer focused
