Business Analyst

The Role:
The Bell Mobility Mobile Devices & Logistics (MD&L) organization is responsible for managing all aspects within the Mobile Device ecosystem which includes; device strategy, new product introduction (handset selection), customer support programs (repair, warranty, trade-in, recycle), supply chain and inventory management. MD&L has launched a significant business transformation program developing a state of the art Supply Chain & Logistics business model built upon a solid foundation of business analysis.
Responsibilities:
The MD&L Project Management Office (PMO) provides guidance and support for business transformation initiatives focusing on customer experience, process efficiency, and cost savings.
As a member of the PMO team, the Business Analyst’s primary responsibilities include:
- elicit and document clearly defined business requirements that accurately reflect stakeholder needs
- map work flow and business processes
- ensure traceability of solutions to requirements
- facilitate and provide business impact analysis including risks assessments
- support testing and change management requirements
- produce and maintain reference information (Visio maps, guides, policies, step action documents)
- liaise with cross functional teams, subject matter experts, IT, vendors, project managers and various levels of management and non-management resources.
Key Competencies:
- experience in creating and or improving and documenting requirements and processes
- ability to identify business requirements and create or participate in the design of process solutions
- excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills (clear & precise verbal / written)
- aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement and take appropriate action
- effective project management and facilitation skills
- strong influencing, negotiation and risk management skills
- ability to influence and gain stakeholder alignment
- broad understanding of financial management principles
- flexible to work under pressure and meet deadlines, displays high sense of urgency
- ability to time manage and prioritize work while maintaining specific attention to detail
Critical Competencies:
- University degree, college diploma and or related work experience
- 3-5 years of business analyst experience in the telecommunications industry
- Exposure and understanding of various systems and architecture
- Strong understanding and experience with change management principles
- Business Analyst Certification, Six Sigma
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
