We are currently seeking a professional Human Resources Consultant - Workplace Practices with a great sense of judgement, initiative, analysis and observation, that will be responsible for analysis, inquiries and resolution related to workplace issues (Harassment and Human Rights) our organization!
This is a permanent, full-time employment opportunity within the Human Resources department. The Human Resources team plays a key role in helping Bell achieve its business objectives by enhancing organizational efficiency through delivering competitive employee programs, policies and processes.
Key responsibilities
- The Human Resources Consultant – Workplace Practices will mainly be responsible for these main areas of focus:
- Providing operational support and guidance to HR professionals on various workplace issues to ensure consistency, rigor and process standardization related to workplace practices and policies. Ensure equity, fairness and at the company level
- Conducting more sensitive and complex workplace investigations related to breaches of workplace policies and all alleged acts of employee misbehaviour
- Contributing to further evolve, streamline, document and adapt workplace practices and policies and learning content and support awareness strategies in line with Bell challenges and emerging external best practices
- Ensuring centralized reporting, perform trend analysis leading to recommendations and implementation of preventive measures.
Critical competencies and abilities:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to organize and structure ideas in a concise manner
- Assertiveness and ability to remain calm and take control under often stressful confrontational situations
- Display strong inter-personal skills
- Strong communications skills, spoken and written 5/5 (French & English)l report writing for professionals
- Experience in mediation, conflict management and workplace investigations in the workplace
- Meticulous and attentive to details
- Computer literate, i.e.: M/S office applications
Preferred competencies:
- Knowledge of the Bell Code of Business Conduct and other corporate policies and procedures related to workplace practices
- Knowledge related to federal and provincial labour legislations (General labour law, Health and Safety, Human Rights, Privacy)
Qualifications
- University Degree in Human Resources or other relevant discipline;
- 3+ years experience in Human Resources or other relevant function;
- Must have a strong results orientation and a track record of execution
