The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace.  The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Planning this role will support the business by contributing data and analyses for the purpose of identifying business issues, opportunities and emerging trends.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluate, understand and interpret data and present it in a logical, straight-forward manner.
  • Develop scenario modeling for channel negotiations and packaging initiatives.
  • Update and maintain Bell TV content database, BBM rating database, Fibe Viewership database, Network COGS database .
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity; investigating potential issues and providing solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide backup support Content Product Manager and other Network Programming functions as required.
  • Work closely with the business to understand and evaluate key business trends. Establishing KPIs for the business and benchmarking against Canadian and US operators.
  • Working on departmental and corporate projects as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Related Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of business experience
  • Previous experience in broadcasting or CPG industries

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills that allow the development of insights and recognition of patterns in masses of data
  • Advanced literacy in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.), MS Access, and SQL as well as experience manipulating large data sets within Excel.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, work well independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills with ability to present clear arguments and rationales

Education Requirements:

A university degree in business, marketing, or other relevant discipline
