The Role

  • Salesforce Advanced Developer (AD) will implements Customer Portal utilizing Salesforce.com content.
  • Will principally work on Service cloud, do custom implementation, integrations, data load, and develop and deploy AppExchange Tools.

  • Your development tasks will include:
    • Apex Classes
    • Apex Triggers
    • Apex Web services                           
    • Visualforce pages
    • Integration with other system
    • Develop and Deploy AppExchange Tools

 

Critical Competencies:

Education

  • College Grade or more, with 2+ years of total experience (cross technologies)
    or
  • 5+ years of total experience (cross technologies)

 

Experience

  • Significant experience in Salesforce.com Design and development / Solution
  • Conceptual knowledge of development process and strategies (i.e.: software development models, TDD, unit tests, domain driven design, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of programming fundamentals

 

Key traits

  • Innovative Mindset
  • Proven ability to integrate business processes across disparate systems
  • Experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit including Apex Classes, Apex Triggers, Apex Web Services, Controllers
  • Experience with Heroku Java, Spring framework
  • Good security and authentication knowledge

 

Mandatory skills

  • Strong Salesforce.com developer with certifications
    • “Certified Force.com Developer” and/or “Certified Salesforce Administrator”
  • Good SOAP-based and RESTful Apex Web services integration expertise using OAuth2 authorization
  • Good documentation skills
  • Has experience with the Salesforce user interface and data model
  • Has broad knowledge of the declarative functionality of the Force.com platform
    • can describe various use cases for this functionality
    •  can use this functionality to create applications using the standard Salesforce interface
  • Has good understanding of the capabilities of the declarative functionality and can identify what application design specifications require the use of “Force.com” code or “Force.com” pages
  • Is capable of designing and developing reports/analytics
  • Can identify appropriate solutions to specific business challenges/process requirements by applying knowledge of these features in the current version of the Force.com platform

  • Experience with Agile Methodology
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Certification for “Certified Force.com Advanced Developer”
    • Obtained or looking to completed it during the next year

    • Building Applications with Force.com and Visualforce (DEV401)
    • Apex and Visualforce Controllers (DEV501)
    • Integrating with Force.com (DEV502)
    • Administration Essentials for New Admins (ADM 201)
    • Administration Essentials for Experienced Admin (ADM-211)
    • Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming with Force.com Code (ADM-231)
