The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace.  The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.

 

The Base Marketing team is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Manager to lead subscriber behaviour forecasting, reporting and analysis for all BRS related products and services.

 

Reporting directly to the Director of Base Marketing, the ideal candidate has financial, strategy, forecasting, planning and reporting experience. In an ever-changing and dynamic environment, they need to be flexible, have strong time management skills and be capable of balancing many projects simultaneously with short deadlines for completion.  They are detail oriented, strategic and analytical with the ability to communicate effectively to senior executives.   This high performing individual needs to have demonstrated success with influencing and delivering results with cross functional teams.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the forecasting process for BRS across all product lines of TV, Internet and Home Phone, including product & offer mix, penetration rates of value added services, hardware purchases as well as transactional and impulse purchases such as pay-per-view and video-on-demand services
  • Support strategy and marketing reviews with key subscriber insights and recommendations
  • Lead the annual business planning and forecasting for the base marketing team  
  • Liaise directly with Finance on both reported and forecasted revenues
  • Providing support for and analysis of weekly base subscriber results, ensuring timeliness & accuracy of inputs for Executive results review
  • Analyzing competitive performance and industry trends related to all BRS products 
  • Analyzing subscriber results looking for emerging trends and proactively sharing these findings and recommendations with key stakeholders to drive the business forward
  • Business case development
  • Presentations to senior executives on results and forecasted revenues
  • Management of external vendor and associated budget to deliver on reporting requirements
  • Leadership and management of 4 direct reports


Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • University degree in business, finance, economics, statistics/math, marketing or a related area; MBA or professional designation preferred
  • 3-5 years experience with business cases, financial models and/or forecasting models, specifically in the telecommunications industry
  • Very strong analytical, mathematical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build compelling, executive-level presentations and to deliver recommendations with confidence
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills, including the ability to synthesize large amounts of data
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making at various levels of the organization
  • Self-starter, with the ability to manage and drive projects with limited supervision and to manage multiple projects in an organized manner
  • Demonstrated coaching/mentoring skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – PowerPoint & Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Previous experience in Data mining /product management / finance, ideally in the telecom field
  • Deadline oriented
  • Fluency in both official languages would be considered an asset
