Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.

 

Role Summary

Under the direction of the Manager of New Product Introduction, Bell Business Markets, the Project Manager will:

  • Manage and hold accountability for the delivery of new BBM services
  • Serve as a focal point for all aspects of projects lifecycle management from the planning phase to the project closure phase.
  • Be accountable for project planning, execution, scheduling, functionality, quality and cost.
  • Manage projects during the execution phase; this includes co-coordinating and directing all the functional groups involved in the projects in order to meet objectives on deliverables, quality, costs and schedule.
  • Leverage project governance and escalation process as needed to meet project KPIs
  • Regularly review and communicate project progress.
  • Perform ongoing risk management activities and ensure that appropriate risks mitigation is implemented.
  • Be responsible for the overall management of change resulting from the implementation of the projects.
  • Utilize conflict resolution expertise to lead staff and to resolve issues with customer to ensure project goals and contractual agreements are met and customer requirements are fulfilled.
  • Plan and document meetings with key stakeholders  regarding specific project issues and deliverables.
  • Plan and manage the execution of project releases based on input from the system integration people, from the capabilities and capacity team and from the operations team.
  • Review field trial plans, risk assessments, and test results.

 

Qualifications

  • PMP certified
  • Good understanding of product introduction process
  • Highly-organized individual, detail oriented and process-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work in an environment where priorities change frequently.

 

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise documents.
  • Capacity to manage multiple and complex projects.
  • Facilitation, negotiation & conflict resolution.
  • Process analysis/improvement experience.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, autonomy, initiative and efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills at all levels.
  • Problem solving & analytical skills.
  • Presentation and training skills.

 

Education& Experience

  • Must have at least 5+ years of Project Management experience
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in a related business field
  • Expert knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s approach to Project Management and demonstrated successful completion of an advanced Project Management course
  • University degree in a related field
  • PMP Designation or equivalent is required
  • Product Management or Marketing experience would be an asset
  • Relevant IT or telecom sector experience
