Main accountabilities:
Production tasks
- Produce advertising, promotional or thematic material in video/print/electronic format, as required by Media Creativity and Sales, for all sponsors of shows aired by all our channels, as well as on RDS.ca and RDSGo
- Ensure the quality of the advertising material (technical/computer, up-to-date and in compliance with network and advertiser standards)
- Help editors (video and audio) by guiding them in their work
- Regularly and effectively communicate with external (advertising agencies and advertisers, etc.) and internal (account managers in Montréal and Toronto and other sales offices) clients, as well as with internal (Production, Programming, Marketing) and external (in-house production, manufacturers, promoters and business partners) suppliers
- Prepare or obtain the commercial/video/Web excerpts required, so they are made available as quickly as possible (video, QuickTime, etc.) to advertisers who have requested them
- Record sponsor voices each week
- Create and produce advertising panels for clients
- Create and produce Web material for clients
- Participate in brainstorming sessions
Administrative duties
- Create the editing and audio schedules for the two production directors
- Fill out requests for graphics rooms for file postproduction
- Submit files to the RACJ and ensure they meet the approval of Bell lawyers
- Follow up with contest winners
- Issue or have issued billing for files as soon as they are delivered
- Perform daily updates of the monthly production report and open files (numbering)
- Perform other tasks related to the position, in support of the two directors
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
- DCS in production and a minimum of two or three years' relevant experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop (an asset) as well as production‑related software
- Knowledge of the following production elements: stage setup (Avid) for TV content (images and sound), electronic graphic design, existing setup methods and possibilities
- Knowledge of Web advertising material and formats
- Flexibility in terms of schedule (operational constraints)
- Occasional travel for offsite production (driver's license)
- Ability to learn and adapt
- Attention to detail in executing tasks
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a healthy team dynamic
- Independence and strong organizational / time management skills
- Willingness to handle urgent requests while remaining very flexible
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both French and English
