Within the Bell Business Markets Finance group (ICT Services), the financial analyst plays a critical role in the financial management and reporting of PS/MS business units. We are looking for a dynamic and responsible self-starter, who is detail-oriented and can work collaboratively with others. The candidate will monitor and evaluate financial performance by conducting financial analyses, project results, planning, and forecasting, and prepare and review management reporting.
Job Duties/Accountabilities :
- Working closely with the business to understand and evaluate key business trends and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results/metrics that incorporate the business story in the variance analysis
- Partner with internal organizations and leaders to ensure accurate reporting of Revenues, COGS and SG&A
- Assisting with forecasting and budgeting
- Support the operations with monthly financial reporting and specific analysis
- Maintain, forecasts and analyzes personnel costs and headcount details
- Support the extended team by providing revenue/margin/SG&A analysis on customers, projects and products
- Prepare month end financial management reports for Finance and Business Executives
- Perform adhoc analysis & special reports to support decision making and the resolution of issues
- Account reconciliations and journal entries
- Recommend and implement “process improvement” within the finance team, identifying areas of overlap and potential efficiency gains
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- 3 years of financial/accounting experience
- Strong problem solving skills
- Customer centric
- Confident with strong leadership and communication/presentation skills
- Experience managing finance projects, building a plan and executing
- Experience working closely with Senior Management
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CPA, CGA)
- Experience amalgamating multiple financial systems
- Knowledge of BI and SAP
- Good understanding of revenue recognition principles and SOx processes
- Flexible schedule during month/year end periods
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
