Position:  Sr. Web Designer, Unifor 723 – 1 year contract
Location: 299 Queen Street
Salary: Group G - Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.

Your contribution: • Demonstrated digital portfolio, showcasing innovative conceptual design and
                             strong problem solving skills.
                            • Design for digital products using strategic documents and wireframes. Attention to
                             detail a must.
                            • Strong communication skills.
                            • Translate concepts effectively against objectives and deliver on schedule.
                            • Encourage experimentation at the idea stage.
                            • Understand the changing specs and technologies in the UX/UI space.
                            • Can work independently and with the Creative Director.
                            • Encourage and help junior team members, navigate a high-energy environment.
                            • You consume both new media and Bell Media brands.

 

Technical:             • Ability to document design work and facilitate hand off to the development team.
                           • Create UI that delivers video content on mid to large projects to the highest
                             technical standards.
                           • Adobe Suites. 3D a plus.
                           • Solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
                           • Experience designing for a responsive environment.
                           • Experience working on mobile applications.

 
Education:           • 6+ years of design related experience in a professional environment.
                          • 2+ years of Design education from a post-secondary institution valued, but not
                            required. Experience counts.
                          • Applicants without a design portfolio will not be considered.
