Job Description:
Bell’s sponsorship is seeking an experienced sponsorship specialist to join our team. As a Specialist, Sponsorship you will report to the Director, Sponsorship and will work alongside other members of Bell’s national sponsorship and events team. This position is a one year maternity leave contract. It is based in Toronto/Mississauga.
You will be responsible for the management and execution of programs and initiatives from across our sponsorship portfolio. This exciting portfolio of partners will include, but are not limited to: Toronto International Film Festival, Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment, Ottawa Senators, Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Day to day contact and operational prime for your portfolio of properties.
- Acting as liaison with our internal partners you will be working directly with our internal business units, leveraging the assets of our portfolio to drive the their business objectives. They include residential services, mobility, retail, business markets and employee services .
- Liaison with Bell Media, identifying and delivering creative solutions, that leverage the assets within the sponsorship portfolio and the content strategy and business objectives within TV, Radio and Digital.
- Working with our marketing teams and agency partners, from creative briefs, to approvals, and execution. You will be responsible for the entire relationship and mandate.
- Execution and management of our on-site activations at events including supervision of contracted suppliers, promotional teams and services.
- Development of communication materials as required.
- Accountability for budget management and project administration.
Core Skills:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a sports marketing, agency or marketing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Experience executing major sponsorships and event properties.
- Experience in managing contractors and budget responsibilities.
- Strong project management skills are a necessity including:
- Disciplined approach to planning, flawless execution with exceptional attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to complete full project requirements from planning meetings, setting project objectives, sourcing and budgeting through to project execution and demonstrating ROI
- Ability to operate self-sufficiently and as a member of a collaborate team.
- Organized team-player with ability to work collaboratively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in relationship management, corporate and product marketing and corporate communications.
- Given the nature of our industry, you can expect to work evenings and weekends
Additional Qualifications/Competencies:
- Knowledge of / passion for sports and arts & entertainment, as demonstrated through volunteering, or previous work experience
- Ability to communicate in both official languages an asset.
- Knowledge of social trends, evolving digital technologies, content distribution in the field of telecommunications
- Previous marketing experience working on or in telecommunications industry is a plus
