Responsibilities:
- Develop new revenue streams from unassigned accounts by prospecting new local businesses opportunities through broadcast and digital platforms using company resources (i.e. creative, production, research, traffic, promotions).
- Sell a multi-platform media product offering (radio, digital, SMS, others).
- Obtain meetings with new and established clients through prospecting and cold calling.
- Understand client’s short and long term challenges and needs (diagnostic interview).
- Prepare professional proposals for client presentations.
- Negotiate contracts and close business deals.
- Service, maintain and grow an established list of accounts.
- Provide on-going information and support to ensure optimal client service and become a sustaining resource.
- Meet and exceed monthly revenue sales targets (radio and digital platforms).
- Align sales strategies with promotions to enhance value to clients and create new revenue generating ideas.
- Provide call planning and reporting as required.
- Manage receivables and collections.
Skills and requirements:
- Bachelor degree in marketing or equivalent;
- 3 years of media sales experience;
- Bilingual (written and speaking);
- Solid network of contacts in the greater Montreal area;
- Communication and listening skills;
- Analytical personality;
- Credible;
- Honesty and professional integrity;
- Avid negotiation skills;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Knowledge of Microsoft BBM (a plus);
- Knowledge of web (a plus).
