Position: Post Production Manager

Location:Agincourt

Salary:Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work:37.5 hours per week. Overtime as required.

 

Responsibilities:
• Oversee Broadcaster deliverables and technical specifications for deliveries;
• Assist Senior Production Manager and individual Production Managers in budgeting and scheduling the Post Production element of future productions
• Consult with Production teams on the hiring of Post Production Coordinators – supervise Post Coordinators in conjunction with LP/PM of each project
• Track, manage and amend post schedules to fit in the overall EPI plan.  Integrate schedule with CTVS internal scheduling software (Xytech / Media Pulse).
• Supervise delivery requirements and timelines for all productions and Broadcasters
• Establish and maintain a database of qualified Post Production Coordinators and Editors to be considered for future EPI projects;
• Oversee or advise on production of critical material for post-production such as compositing elements or shots with effects; file based stock/acquisition footage;
• Manage the technical deliverables for Sales;
• Review and prepare tracking reports for monthly labour and facilities reports;
• Manage the Quality control, Closed captioning and Descriptive Video deliveries
• Post Production Manage/ Coordinate any Specials or one-off projects
• Other duties as customarily performed by Post Production Managers


Qualifications:


• 3-5 yrs. work experience in TV Post Production Management:  Technical experience required;
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and take initiative;
• Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints, meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy;
• Knowledge of scheduling programs (Xytech, excel, Media Pulse)
• Familiarity with audio, tape and digital formats (stream type, codec, file type );
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to be adaptable and flexible in various situations;
• Bilingual is an asset.
