Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.
Bell’s Mass Market Sales team is currently seeking an experienced Network and/or Wireless Architect to support the MASS market customer base. The successful candidate must be skilled at designing and implementing network and/or wireless solutions based on business requirements. We need someone who will thrive on planning, designing, and implementing complex corporate data network infrastructures and wireless solutions under tight deadlines. Responsibilities:
- Serve as a lead architect on network and/or wireless initiatives for Bell’s clients
- Collaborate with business users, technical staff and management to define business and technical requirements
- Produce technically excellent solutions architecture that is aligned to business needs and direction
- Create high level and low level design documents in support of the solution architecture
- Review designs for standards compliance, architecture compliance and negotiate implementation timeframes
- Provide expert consultation and troubleshooting for major incidents
- Evaluate emerging technologies against business and IT strategic needs
- Write technical and business documentation
- Provide mentoring and skills-transfer to junior resources
- Be an ambassador for Bell Canada with our customers
Required Skills:
- Minimum of eight years relevant experience in designing/supporting LAN, WiFi, security, WAN solutions
- Ability to conceptualize the inter-relatedness of information technology components (software, hardware, servers, networks, etc.)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stacks and firewall security in an inter-networking environment.
- Knowledge of Quality of Service and experience designing/implementing QoS in a business environment.
- Vendor Certifications e.g. Cisco (CCNA, CCNP,CCIE, CCDE,CCSP), Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIP,JNCIS,JNCIE), HP (HP ATP,ASE, Master ASE) or equivalent work experience
- Deep knowledge OSI layers 1 to7
- Expert knowledge of WiFi solutions– Cisco, Aruba, HP, Motorola, etc.
- Knowledge of security solutions – Cisco, Check-Point, Fortinet, etc. (preferred)
- Expert knowledge of a variety of network management tools, test equipment, circuits, and routers.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service, communications, and presentation skills.
- Ability to serve as a technical mentor to others and guides less experienced engineers and technicians in resolving complex problems.
- Bachelor of Science or Computer Science degree or equivalent experience in information technology
- Bilingualism preferred (English essential, French a strong asset)
- Familiar with Bell Wide Area Network Product/Services; Internet, Ethernet Internetworking, IP VPN as well as LAN/WAN solutions - Cisco, Avaya/Nortel, HP, Juniper,etc.
- Design and support solutions and associated with Wireless, LAN, Wide Area Network
- Participate in the design and deployment of projects
