Expertech Network Installation is a major network infrastructure service provider for the wireline and wireless broadband technology market and employs over 1,600 experts: managers, technicians and administrative staff in Quebec and Ontario.
The Expertech team is responsible for provisioning Bell Canada’s network, ensuring the job is completed on time, within budget, and to the customer’s quality standards. PURPOSE AND SCOPE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Serve as a focal point for all aspects of project(s) including initiation, planning, organization & scheduling, execution, control and closing. Management is required in the areas of integration, scope, time, revenue & expense budget, quality, human resources, communications, risk management, and procurement. May utilize expertise to lead staff and resolve various issues with customer(s) (internal and external) to ensure project goals, expectations, and contractual agreements are met. Typically individuals matched to this job family are working towards or have achieved project management certification
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Initiates, leads and manages projects and seeks out industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative
approaches / solutions.
Recommends best solutions based on understanding of business issues.
Facilitates joint planning sessions; develops project plans, schedules & cost forecasts, documents estimating assumptions; anticipates and tracks operational and tactical risks, refines plans and manages performance against them.
Applies program decision framework (who does what; how to communicate), identifies resources & skills required; provide
coaching and leadership contributing to ongoing improvement.
Manages project scope/requirements changes, including deadlines/milestones, impact on budget and risk.
Ensures that quality standards are met and oversees the execution/production of project deliverables and management documents. Conducts regular field / site visits (with employees and contractors) to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and design that comply with specifications.
Identifies project resource and equipment needs and secures them as required.
Utilize project management methodologies, and provide an appropriate level of documentation that is consistent and reusable.
Raises and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves issues of medium complexity involving stakeholders and escalates to appropriate level where required.
Assesses ambiguous situations, manages communications with status reports & provides clarity to team and stakeholders as required and manages project closure initiatives.

This position involves reading and writing reports, proposals, procedures, contracts, and consultation papers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Educational Level Required:
University Degree or College diploma in business/technology (focusing on telecommunications) and/or equivalent experience
Specific Experience:
Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written)
Full understanding of organization’s and shareholder’s (Expertech/Bell) product and service offerings
Understanding of financial concepts
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices and legislation
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills
