Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.

 

The incumbent will have overall responsibility for strategic pricing support in the multiple industry verticals within the BBM market. This individual will possess the technical knowledge required to support solutions used within the industry and possess the leadership required to support the industry marketing strategy. The incumbent will help deepen our customer relationships in that industry by accessing customer contacts in our base, and act as support to the sales team on customer driven business as the customers evolve their solutions.

 

Job Function:

  • Participate in driving channel strategies for marketing programs.
  • Assist sales with product positioning.
  • Assist in creation of customer technical solution with technology design and customer engineering service teams.
  • Participate in formal customer request for quote, request for proposal or request for information responses.
  • Develop strategies for complex opportunities.
  • Partner with pricing strategy to align to profitability focus.
  • Provide pricing for opportunities within pricing strategy guidelines.
  • Act as a point of contact for connectivity portion of ICT solutions.
  • Provide business guidance to product and service development efforts in the industry.
  • Manage marketing opportunity funnel.
  • Gather and communicate competitive research and threats to product marketing.
  • Represent sales and customer perspective in all marketing / Product Marketing discussions.
  • Deliver sales training on product enhancements as well as some.
  • Conduct new market opportunity assessments and estimate market potential within vertical market.

 

Scope of Job:

  • Lead and manage vertical account base
  • Generate future growth by identifying vertical opportunities concretely related to our customers’ business needs.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Increase the volume and profitability of sales by helping to position the value, easing processes and providing technical and marketing support to account teams.
  • Provide latest service and product features information and value propositions to account teams on a regular basis.
  • Assist in managing the channel for promotions which will stimulate growth in IP/BB solutions while maintaining healthy profit margins and cash flows across the account base.
  • Fully understand the challenges facing account teams and communicate these to product development so that product development can effectively modify their services to address these requirements.
  • Become the “customer needs and market trends” prime for account base within the marketing team.
  • Provide leadership in pricing strategy to best gauge the optimum profitability.

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to synthesize large amounts of knowledge.
  • Leadership skills, ability to build and foster virtual teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to influence management.
  • Strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills.
  • Very strong analytical and knowledge of the business benefits of technology enabled solutions.

 

Level of experience required:

  • 5+ years business experience.
  • Comfortable being in a consultative role to the rest of the organization.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Education – Preferred Bachelors in Marketing or Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Current membership to industry associations a plus.
