Afternoon Drive Announcer – Virgin Radio

Edmonton, Alberta

 

This position is ideal for a dynamic, hard-working, innovative, Radio Announcer, who has exceptional drive and is looking for an exciting & challenging career. If you have integrity, and a positive attitude, this can be an incredible opportunity to make your mark!

 

 

  • Hosting afternoon drive show, 5 days per week
  • Preparing, planning and executing a daily radio show
  • Delivering amazing customer service, both internally with staff and externally with clients and listeners
  • Voicing commercials
  • Attending public appearances, remotes, charitable and community events, representing the Station and the brand with integrity
  • Attending meetings

 

  • Post-secondary education in Radio Broadcasting is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Wide Orbit and experience in the operation of a broadcast console
  • Very strong work ethic, communication and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, as well as analytical and problem solving skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Professional attitude and disposition with internal and external clients
  • Superior judgment and ability to multi-task a variety of functions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy under pressure
  • Self-motivated with a strong passion to succeed
