The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.

The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.

Hiring Department: Bell Identity & Access Management (IAM) team

 

The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is accountable for the systems and infrastructure that support Identity Management (IdM) and Access Control in the organization, both employee and customer facing.  These environments include the corporate employee directory (LDAP), Active Directory infrastructure, Bell Entry Point – the employee Standard Sign-On solution,  in support of Bell.ca and retail stores.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to act as an Enterprise Directory Analyst with primary focus on the corporate directory & hierarchy, integration of business applications, Active Directory and change management.

Key initiatives within the IAM team includes upgrading to a new ED platform (FIM2010r2) in 2015, integration of new business applications and working with clients to implement solutions & improvements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Understanding of AD/ED environments architecture, components and inter-dependences
  • Create metrics and develop periodic reviews about platform’s health, performance and stability; identify areas required improvement and develop mitigation plan with the architects/technical primes
  • Perform role of the Application Owner: review all changes for AD/ED Production Environments, identify and mitigate risks, participate in the Change Approval Meetings and provide input to IAM Change Manager
  • Act as a communication prime to notify client communities within Bell and CGI support teams about up-coming Production Changes including infrastructure upgrades, HW/SW migration and client project configurations
  • Participate in the Incident Management Process: represent AD/ED team on incident bridges when invited by the CGI incident manager, coordinate and engage necessary technical resources, provide communication updates to business primes and client application managers.
  • Facilitate problem resolution with CGI and external vendors, acts as liaison between CGI support, client teams within Bell and  other vendors (Oracle, IBM, CA), review Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation and conduct “lessons learned” sessions.  
  • Maintain a test environment that mirrors production to support testing requirements
  • Document detailed technical requirement specifications towards designing a solution from gathered business requirements
  • Build presentations & communicate the solution and approach to the support team & clients
  • Provision and Maintain support documentation to allow ongoing operational maintenance of the tools deployed for operations or various deliverables requested
  • Represent IdM in the planning and the coordination of activities in project deliverables, request for proposals, reviews, committees
  • Ensure compliance of AD/ED platforms with relevant industry standards (SOX/PCI) and Bell corporate policy.
  • Serve as the conduit between the client Business unit technical team and the Identity Management support team (CGI).

 

 

Critical Competencies:

 

  • Knowledge of Directory Solutions (Active Directory; FIM2010r2, Directory services preferred).
  • 2 years in a role of Systems Analyst or equivalent experience.
  • Strong documentation skills – Ability to capture and define technical specifications in order to create, maintain and update solutions; test cases and operations documentation.
  • Is structured, organized and has a good capacity for analysis and understanding when confronted with challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: ability to quickly understand issue and communicate resolution plan to internal/external teams
  • Excellent team player: will be required to work in partnership with many different teams and groups, both internal and external, Vendors, Corporate Security, Network Operations, Infrastructure, etc.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills – Ability to quickly understand and isolate technical issues.
  • Understanding of user provisioning concepts, roles within Enterprise Directory structure
  • Familiarity with major operating systems *nix (Solaris & REHL), windows (2k3, 2k8, 2k12).
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and work independently.

 

 

 

Preferred Competencies:

 

  • Bachelor degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • Previous enterprise wide exposure & experience.
  • Knowledge of Change Management practices in support of SOX/PCI  audit
  • Good knowledge of systems infrastructure, security norms, system administration tools
  • Good knowledge of XML and .Net, Java, PERL, SQL
  • Bilingual (French & English)

 

 

 

Working Conditions:

 

Work location is located in Ottawa, or Toronto, Ontario – permanent tele-working is not an option
