Position: Social Media/Marketing Coordinator, PayTV & Digital
Location: 299 Queen Street West, Toronto
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager; this position is responsible for the development and daily execution of the social media strategy for The Movie Network, HBO Canada and CraveTV.
- Brief Creative and Design teams on marketing strategy and messaging pertaining to social media, digital and marketing executions
- Develop analytical reporting and tracking of key metrics related to social media & marketing goals
- Working with the Marketing Director to identify trends, establish best practices and execute social media marketing strategies, to maintain key priorities
- Interacting with the audiences daily through online social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and others
- Liaising between departments to successfully execute and integrate social media into marketing plans
- Working with internal and external partners to create contesting and promotions
- Researching branding opportunities and synergies within the social media and digital marketing industry
- Driving business metrics online through SEO / SEM development and cross-promotional opportunities
- Gathering and distributing promotional materials as needed
- General support for Manager as needed
Qualifications:
- College degree in Marketing, Media Studies or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years experience in marketing, social media, advertising, brand management.
- Love media and entertainment.
- Understanding and appreciation for Social/Internet-culture humour.
- Very strong creative writing skills: must be able to effectively craft social voices, as appropriate both within social media landscape and within the brand filter.
- Proven experience developing/executing social & digital marketing initiatives that deliver proven results.
- Experience within the broadcast/media industry an asset.
- A self-starter with excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies and ability to communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely as it relates to our social business and goals.
- High proficiently with social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, Google+, YouTube etc.
- Experience in developing, tracking and analyzing quantitative and qualitative information.
- High proficiently with social platforms research tools including Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite, Google Analytics.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines, juggling, several assignments – often within high-stress live television and events
