Position:

Producer - Bell Local TV - Ottawa

Responsibilities :

• Create and  produce programs and features in English and French for the Bell Community channel on Fibe TV;
• Suggest and pitch program concepts and proposals;
• Oversee the recruitment and training of volunteers to assist in the creation of programs;
• Supervise camera operators, editors and volunteers;
• Train community members to act as hosts, producers and other production roles;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• At least 2 years experience in program or documentary production;
• Knowledge of TV production techniques including  planning, crewing and editing both in the field and in studio;
• Ability to motivate staff and ensure high production values;
• Superior planning and problem solving skills;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills;
• Experience directing or producing live TV is an asset;
• Experience in dealing with volunteers and non-profit organizations is an asset;
• Fluently bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written and successfully pass a proficiency test.
