Position:
Producer - Bell Local TV - Ottawa
Responsibilities :
- Create and produce programs and features in English and French for the Bell Community channel on Fibe TV;
- Suggest and pitch program concepts and proposals;
- Oversee the recruitment and training of volunteers to assist in the creation of programs;
- Supervise camera operators, editors and volunteers;
- Train community members to act as hosts, producers and other production roles;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- At least 2 years experience in program or documentary production;
- Knowledge of TV production techniques including planning, crewing and editing both in the field and in studio;
- Ability to motivate staff and ensure high production values;
- Superior planning and problem solving skills;
- Excellent organizational and communication skills;
- Experience directing or producing live TV is an asset;
- Experience in dealing with volunteers and non-profit organizations is an asset;
- Fluently bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written and successfully pass a proficiency test.
