Includes corporate and operational finance, internal teams support, the controllers group, internal audit and risk advisory services, taxation, treasury, corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Wireless Team, and will be reporting directly into the Associate Director - Finance. This role includes being involved in the full end-to-end, budgeting and reporting process, including forecasting and reporting key wireless metrics such as COA (cost of acquisition) and COM (cost of maintenance), and Commissions reporting. The candidate will also work closely with the business to understand and evaluate key business trends and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial forecasts.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and technical skills and a clear ability to identify and interpret key business trends and issues. The successful candidate will also have strong verbal and written communication skills in order to build relationships at various levels of the organization and have the confidence necessary to participate in discussions. In addition, the successful candidate will be a self-starter that is able to work independently to complete specified tasks under tight deadlines within a fast-paced working environment.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Work with the business to identify/validate key business assumptions and incorporate them into the forecast/budget
- Ensure all budget and forecast requirements to corporate submitted
- Prepare budget and forecast decks for senior management
- Analyze monthly results and understand business initiatives in order to prepare monthly commentary for review with senior management
- Commissions Reporting & Analytics
- Provide financial knowledge and represent finance in various Wireless projects
Required Qualifications/Competencies:
- An accounting or finance background with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Must Possess or be working towards a professional accounting designation (i.e., CA, CMA or CGA)
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills)
- Strong technical and analytical skills including rate/volume variances
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
- Results-oriented
- Ability to partner with cross-functional operational and finance teams
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Wireless industry experience preferred
- Experience in SAP, BPC, Essbase, SAS and BW (Business Warehouse)
