At Virgin Mobile our brand promise is to deliver an unparalleled Member experience in everything we do.  The Virgin Mobile Member Benefits program is aimed at bringing the brand to life by providing Members with unique experiences, exclusive offers, and VIP access through our partnerships, sponsorships, and events. The objective of this role within the Brand team, is to help drive increased Member engagement by building incredible experiences for our Members while also creating brand envy to attract and acquire non-members.

 

This candidate will report to the Director of Brand Experience (Partnerships, Sponsorships, Events) and will be responsible for working with our Sponsorship properties in the development and day to day execution of our National Events programs and overall management of event production as well as integrating our sponsorship assets into consumer campaign initiatives to achieve overall business plan and objectives.

 

The successful candidate will work with key agency partners, suppliers, production houses, and relevant business units to build meaningful offers and experiences.  Driving brand consideration, acquisition, retention, advocacy, and overall purchase intent is a core focus of every activity for this group.

 

 

The really important stuff…

 

 

Sponsorship and Event Management:

You must be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail with the ability to take charge in the field to build and manage event production. You are also comfortable in a boardroom presenting strategic plans.  You will assist in reviewing prospective sponsorships to assess their feasibility and ensure they comply with Virgin Mobile’s brand guidelines. The candidate will manage the entire Events lifecycle from ideation to execution, and managing relationships with both the property and Virgin Mobile stakeholders internally to bring the project to life.

 

Event Production:

You are a veteran in large scale Event Management. The candidate will oversee all logistical planning for event executions including development of all consumer touch points, sourcing and securing of third party vendors, budget creation, project management, promotional staffing, technical production, and being on-site lead contact for the brand with each event property.

 

You will plan and execute amazing branded experiences for both consumer and B2B events. You will support all internal teams by also executing tradeshows, training sessions, to produce innovative and fun experiences

 

Budget Coordination:

Budget management review and negotiating third party vendor quotes and fees to ensure smart spending while delivering on the objectives of the specific project/program is a must.

 

The candidate must adhere to strict budgets and be able to manage the financial process by entering all costs associated with our projects into applicable financial systems.

 

Contesting:

You will pro-actively manage contest ideation and fulfillment process including all associated logistics, rules and regs to ensure a seamless Member experience.

 

Communications:

Liaise with appropriate VMC stakeholders to integrate sponsorship and event initiatives into campaigns and communications (internal and external), Channel, Customer Care, Social, and Marcomm teams.

 

Briefs:

You will be proficient in creative briefs to both the creative services and show leadership in being able to see creative through ideation to execution.

 

Member Benefits Metrics:

Work closely with the analytic experts, and digital team to track and report Member Benefits redemptions and web traffic on a monthly basis.

The ‘must have’…

 

 

Your work experience

  • Demonstrated experience and success in large scale Brand Activations and Event Production with 5-7+ years experience
  • An understanding of the global & national brand activation landscapes.
  • Knowledge of legal and contract review processes
  • Well developed relationship management skills in dealing with complex partnerships and integrated media
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with external & internal people
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Understand why our Member “experience” is paramount in everything we do
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, a working knowledge of Excel and statistical report generation is an asset.
  • Experience dealing with multiple business units including sales, legal (business affairs), marketing and finance
  • University degree or work experience equivalent
  • Having detailed budgeting management skills is essential
  • Experience delivering presentations
