The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.
The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.
The Senior Business Solutions Architect is responsible for managing a team of Solution Advisors in developing and evaluating solutions for Bell Media’s delivery initiatives. This individual will work with the various delivery stream leads, system architects, business analysts, vendors and business clients to identify an overall system solution. The BSA provides high-level costs assessments and timeline impacts based on the solution. This role carries with it both a Planning and Execution requirement to ensure we meet project and program objectives.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Provide high level cost and time assessments for all work required to support projects
- Manage the Front Door process by clarifying business needs and solution requirements to identify and communicate solution alternatives and implications and provide pre-project hi-level time and cost assessments to management
- Implementation, evolution and management of strong Planning and Assessment processes and standards
- Understand a client’s business application(s) and how they support the company
- Reviewing the project charter and assisting Program or Project Managers with scope, dependencies and risk assessment
- Program Planning for large scale IT and Business investments both on an annual and an ongoing basis
- Reviewing and contributing to the BRD and developing and documenting the conceptual solution during the project phase, leveraging target or roadmap technologies and aligning with Bell IT, BPO and Corporate Security standards
- Identify and explain any business risks relating to technology and make recommendations to minimize them
- Engaging with other Bell IT teams and BSA to identify requirements and implications for other impacted domains and communicating solution requirements to 3rd-party solution providers
- Identify and solution opportunities to improve ongoing system performance, interfaces, production jobs, etc.
- Capacity planning to support growth on the platforms through organic growth as well as a result of new projects, users, implementations.
- The ability to conceptualize and think abstractly, and work and manage in a technically complex and ambiguous environment.
- The ability to analyze, defines, design and propose solutions for business problems at the highest level of complexity or in areas calling for significantly innovative approaches.
- The ability to deal with a broad range of legacy and next generation technologies with the skills to recognize and exploit the advantages of both.
- The ability to communicate highly complex matters and adapt to the target audience and forum. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills to clearly express and communicate concepts, designs and proposals.

Level of Experience and Education Required:
- College certificate or University degree in business administration, information technology or related disciplines
- Significant understanding of Bell systems and solutions across a wide range of business functions.
- 5+ years Experience with Telecom technical or IT technology solutions
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
