Includes corporate and operational finance, internal teams support, the controllers group, internal audit and risk advisory services, taxation, treasury, corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.

 

The Bell Business Market Infrastructure Services Finance team is responsible for financial planning, forecasting & reporting.  The mandate of the team is to deliver insightful financial information & analysis in order to influence decision making and drive greater focus on profitability, while ensuring financial integrity.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Manage a team of four Managers that work closely with the business to understand, evaluate and influence performance.  They also ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial results.
  • Oversee all functions relating to month-end analysis including preparation of financial management reports for Executives
  • Perform adhoc analysis to influence business decisions.
  • Partner with Product and Sales in the development of Forecasts and Plans.
  • Pro-actively manage the strategic initiatives and pursue opportunities to close the Plan gap.
  • Drive cost reductions across the various portfolios to improve the margin trajectory.
  • Integral to the tracking of vendor rebates and maximizing the claims.
  • Lead the various compliance projects with Controller and SOX teams.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements.

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Team player with excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Designated Accountant with 5 years work experience, preferably in a similar industry or in public practice with exposure to the telecommunications business
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Self starter with high degree of initiative and energy level
  • Ability to analyze results, identify underlying business trends and develop recommendations for future actions in conjunction with key stakeholders
  • Comfortable working at different levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Commitment to personal and team excellence

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of BI and SAP
