The Role:
Within Bell Business Markets, performs project management analytical support for Project Managers/Senior Project Manager/Program Managers/Project Executives on complex projects (L1-L2). The Project Control Specialist role is focused around the project control process group and can be expended to other knowledge areas.
Accountabilities:
- Participate in the creation of project documentation and responsible to support and maintain it. Accountable to closely monitor timelines and to ensure adherence with approved project plans.
- Variance (schedule, finance, KPI) to plan will be documented, reported and escalated to Project Manager/Senior Project Manager or Project Executive.
- Lead/participate in the WBS/Gantt creation and responsible to keep it up to date. Will produce earned value report if required(or simpler indicator if not necessary) to ensure resources are performing task on time as per budget.
- Lead/participate in project meetings internal and external to Bell with Project Manager/Senior Project Managers. Organize logistics, take meeting minutes and update action item register.
- Lead segments of the project to meet the overall schedule, within the allocated budget and scope. Accountable to develop schedule, dependencies and risks for project segments i.e. supplier deliverables
- Intake Management process review (new requests), prioritization, assignment follow up / escalation, monitoring and reporting
- Project related financial tracking (i.e. PEATS, effort, cost and margin)
Critical Competencies:
- 3+ years of project management/coordination experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timeline/milestone dates
- Superior organization and communication skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project skills
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
