Responsibilities:
We’re looking for an experienced Reporter/Anchor. This new team member will have several years of journalistic experience, is passionate about live television
and knows the value of good story telling. Strong and determined interviewing skills are a must and being a team player tops the list. Experience in anchoring in a major
market is a must. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Originating, writing, interviewing and presenting information to a television audience
• Reporting on camera and live to air
• Report, research and produce news items
• Anchoring and reporting in the field
Qualifications:
• Degree or Certificate from a recognized Journalism Program
• Minimum five years experience as a Reporter/ Anchor
• A team player who has great ideas
• Strong on- air presentation skills
• Strong interview skills
• Thrives with Live TV
• Excellent news judgement, writing, research, and production skills
• Must be available for various shifts including weekends
• Proven ability to handle stressful situations and tight deadlines
• Knowledge of the Toronto and GTA area
• Experience in broadcast writing.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required. This job includes Shift work (day, night, weekend shifts).
