The Bell Business Markets Cisco Voice Solutions team offers industry-leading voice based solutions and is accountable to deliver best-in-class, repeatable voice solutions for the large enterprise business market.
Job Duties/ Accountabilities:
* Act as the principal contractor with the Sales team in analyzing customers’ business needs, identifying issues, conducting feasibility studies, and making technical recommendations. The candidate’s role is to assist customers in developing complex technological solutions and ensuring their full satisfaction, in the short, medium and long term.
* Assume responsibility for technological directions and for the design of the overall and detailed architectural plans for IP telephony and convergence systems (video, messaging, collaboration tools, etc).
* Act as technical authority to customers with regard to IP telephony and convergence.
* Stay abreast of leading-edge data network technologies, and of the IT systems and applications used in the industry, preferably those applied to the finance sector.
* Provide support for telecommunications products and services for sales staff, customer solution experts and technicians.
* Evaluate costs and labour for telecom equipment; write/document the technical component of customer proposals
* Communicate with the Product Management and Solution Development teams
* Assume responsibility for solution development and integration with other specialized disciplines such as networking, network security, wireless Wi-Fi, cellular telephony, call centre, etc.
* Promote and identify consulting opportunities and complete mandates assigned by customers.
* Expert level IP telephony troubleshooting in a large scale network environment.
* Strong Technical Account management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Your qualifications/ competencies are:
* Technical skills with regard to IP telephony and convergence products and services from Cisco Systems, Microsoft and Avaya
* Specific expertise in IP telephony equipment from Cisco Systems: CM/CME, UNITY/CU/CUE, SRST, CUBE, SME
* Expertise in IP telephony protocols: SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP, G.711, G.729, etc.
* Knowledge of application services and products supporting IP telephony: TFTP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Windows Server 2003/10, LINUX, etc.
* Knowledge of telephony services and standards (key systems, PBX, E.164, PSTN, Centrex, DID, FAX, 911, CDR, etc.)
* Experience with the security and quality of service parameters required for IP telephony
* Skills with regard to solutions design, telecom equipment configuration, and lab testing
* General knowledge of the telecommunications industry, specifically the following areas: LAN/WAN networking, wireless Wi-Fi, management and outsourcing, cellular telephony, security technology, call centre, collaboration tools, video and tele presence, etc.
* Negotiating and problem-solving skills
* Strong planning skills in order to execute activities in order of importance
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to make swift, efficient decisions

* Recognized certifications from the main product manufacturers (Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, etc.)
* Knowledge of office system software (MS Office, Internet Explorer, Visio)
* Business acumen
Experience required:
* Seven years’ experience in designing and deploying solutions related to IP telephony and convergence technologies
* Three years’ experience in pre-sales and direct customer relations
* Pertinent experience in the field of consulting services
* Typically requires (degree) or equivalent plus 5-10 years experience in a network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
