The Bell Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology, under the Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile brands.
Bell Mobility’s Business Development department was formed to ensure the company remains sharply focused on developing new lines of business and in particular the development of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) markets. The primary responsibility of this department is the increase of revenue derived from our business clients’ wireless data needs. Bell Mobility is seeking a Solution Specialist to focus primarily on our M2M execution plan with additional wireless solution support for Bell Mobility sales channels. This group is focused on the direct sales engagement with our Bell sales channels to prospect, create, develop, implement and support the execution of wireless data M2M solutions in the market. This group is responsible for discovering and developing the innovative solutions that will resolve our clients’ specific needs, assessing and selecting the appropriate partners or internal resources and managing the entire life cycle of our M2M growth along with other wireless solution sets.
Solution Specialist has many responsibilities within the organization, it is a management role without direct reports. The candidate is expected to be autonomous and should work closely with the Corporate Sales Manager(s). There are three (3) core functions for a Solution Specialist; To work with the Corporate sales team(s) to provide sales support regarding products and services, to sell industry leading wireless solutions, and to develop an M2M funnel and generate M2M sales independently.
Solution specialist's performance is measured on assigned M2M sales performance measures as well as overall performance measures as related to Bell’s Wireless Solution portfolio. The Solution specialist’s primary focus is related to the identification, qualification and implementation of wireless data solutions and M2M opportunity growth. This is achieved by using a consultative approach that combines technical knowledge of existing and emerging wireless solutions with business acumen, processes re-engineering and ROI modeling. To support this activity the candidate will engage directly with the customer in a prospective, qualification process and needs assessment to identify technical requirements and key success factors related to solutions development. The outcome of this activity typically results in a combination of customer presentations and final recommendations and proposals all targeted at meeting both the customer requirements and supporting Bell’s performance targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Regional Solution Manager this role is an integral component in driving Bell Mobility's overall wireless data growth while leveraging a team of Sales Professionals. You will be accountable for proactively delivering results from net new business as well as driving results within the existing customer base. The Solution Specialist will also be required to maintain a solid understanding of new products and services as they become available and relate this knowledge to the Sales Teams on a regular basis.
Job Duties/Accountabilities include:
* Prospect and qualification of wireless M2M and solution opportunities including direct customer engagement and needs assessment to develop technical and business requirements.
* M2M prospect funnel by region / segment / vertical
* Engage in new business development and funnel management activities with focus on M2M vertical market developments.
* Build go to market plan by segment – target setting by region / segment
* Represent Bell at various Industry and Association events, facilitate and manage customer seminars and workshops
* Liaison with other teams and business units within Bell to leverage resources required to deliver packaged and customized solutions Interface with key vendors and hardware marketing for solutions and applications implementation
* Develop and deliver presentations and proposals for wireless data solutions including responding to RFP’s
* Training and technical resource for all business sales channels
* Support the launch of new wireless business solutions
Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
* A University degree in business, engineering, computer science with 5 -7 years of previous related experience.
* Committed to continual growth and training on wireless solutions, networks, applications, and integration requirements for mobile devices or Machine based hardware.
* Ability to take self-initiative to drive the next step with an sales opportunity and ensure all stakeholders are in alignment of the step.
* Telecommunications experience including superior analytical skills, solid business acumen and strong customer focus and experience in working with external customers.
* Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies (i.e. TCP/IP, WAP, JAVA, HTML, WiFi, WiMAX, and Bluetooth);
* Be able to communicate effectively and give presentations to various audiences;
* Be able to work effectively with virtual and multidisciplinary team;
* Proficiency with MS Office, Explorer, Visio, MS Project, MS Access;
* Experience working in a sales environment.;
* Ability to apply technology to create business solutions;
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of IT;
* Be mobile and have a valid driver’s license.
* Bilingual: French and English
