The Business Provisioning team is responsible for the provisioning and coordination of customer services within the IPVPN, Broadband and Core Data product lines
The Computer Application Support team within the Business Provisioning team is responsible for the support and development of internal tools, systems and reports
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Responsible to work with lead programmer on system development and programming to meet work schedule and deadlines while maintaining support and maintenance of existing tools
- Responsible to run independent projects to enhance or develop new tools to fill business needs
- Provide support to end users of IT Applications and internal tools/reports
- Answer calls from users, log trouble and provide resolution
- Responsible to create user ID profiles and perform table maintenance
- Provide training, coaching and information to customers including internal team members
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on various projects, work sessions, meetings, conference calls etc.
- Develop new programs/tools and make improvements to existing
- Responsible for acting as an intermediary between users and vendors/partners
- Responsible to: know the tools/systems and how they interact and relate to the business, provide customized support, develop process and tool improvements, deploy new products and processes and manage the data inputs and outputs
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
Networking Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Routing and Switching Technologies
- Experience to Cisco CLI
- Have experience on various series of router, Cisco and Juniper platforms, and switch boxes
Programming Qualifications:
- Have thorough knowledge on C, C++, PHP, CSS, HTML and Java programming
- Experience in designing software and web applications
- Knowledge of SQL Databases
- Experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Eclipse
- Knowledge of: SQL, Javascript, ASP Classic & ASP.NET (preferably in C#) .NET Framework 3. 5 / 4.0, VBA, CSS and HTML programming languages
- Knowledge of MS- Office computer applications Ms Word, Ms Excell, Ms PowerPoint and Windows Server 2003 R2 / 2008 R2
- Knowledge of routing and switching to support and design IPVPN tools
Skills and demonstrated experience:
- Ability to independently plan and prioritize activities
- Ability to coordinate and negotiate activities with various groups and vendors.
- Ability to communicate effectively within own group, with managers and other groups, (including external vendors/partners)
- Ability in solving system problems of different natures related to database and applications
- Ability in developing and explaining operating procedures to group members
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong customer orientation and ability to work efficiently with all team members as well as autonomously
- Strong problem solving abilities including initiative to address issues in a proactive manner
- Ability to drive progress and improvement by identifying problems or areas of opportunity and creating system solutions
- Independently and proactively identify opportunities, solicit information and feedback, develop innovative solutions, communicate and roll out process/tool changes
- Provide support to team members and user community
- Work with internal/external team members to gather requirements, fully understand needs and develop best possible solution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor of technology in Telecommunication or equivalent work experience
- Advance diploma in Networking and Computer systems or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Intermediate to expert knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets, formulas, conditional formatting & statistics, pivot tables, internal tools, macro creation)
Working conditions:
- Regular business hours during Monday to Friday, with occasional requirement to be available on weekends and evenings
