Corporate Services - Corporate Security:

A challenging and interesting opportunity for a motivated individual in the Bell Corporate Security – Information Security Architecture team.

 

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Information Security Architecture, the Supplier Assurance Specialist will be responsible for managing the execution of the Supplier Security Management program across BCE and its affiliated companies.  The incumbent will be responsible for interfacing with Procurement, Legal, Network, IT, and other teams involved in the selection and contracting of vendors to ensure that all vendors adhere to Bell’s security requirements.

 

Job duties / accountabilities:

Through effective leadership, coordination, communication, and training, the incumbent must ensure that the work is conducted with the utmost integrity and professionalism in the best interest of the Company, and that sufficient preventative security measures are in place and effective.

 

The incumbent’s main responsibilities are:

  • Co-ordinate the Website Governance Program within Bell Corporate Security
  • Engage other teams within Corporate Security for testing, risk assessment, and other functions.
  • Perform Assessments of vendors as required.
  • Ensure Supplier Assessments related to procurements are done to Corporate Security standards and any gaps are identified to the Business Unit involved for remediation.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers to ensure specific requirements for the procurements are met.
  • Develop and Maintain a program to assess suppliers against their contractual obligations, ensure compliance, and notify senior management when gaps are detected.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in carrying out responsibilities;  provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain internal partnerships with Procurement and Legal teams.

 

Essential skills / competencies:

  • College degree or a University education.
  • Experience in vendor assessments and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent oral, written, and group communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure;  strong analytical / problem-solving skills with attention to detail, creative and good business judgement.
  • Excellent negotiating, decision making, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Strong team player;  demonstrates initiative;  has a strong desire to succeed.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and flexible with the ability to adapt to a complex and quickly-changing environment.
  • Advanced computer skills:  proficient in MS Office, and ability to quickly learn proprietary systems.
  • Ability to be decisive, remain calm, and cope with various levels of stress.
  • Ability to balance risks to the company against requirements of individual projects and initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001/27002, or other similar security frameworks and the ability to digest frameworks relating to Environmental or Governance areas.

 

Preferred skills/competencies:

  • Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other similar credentials.
  • Experience dealing with vendors of varying sizes and security maturity.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Must pass a security clearance check including criminal record check.
  • Must be able to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance at a SECRET/Level 2 level.
  • Occasional travel both domestically and internationally may be required.
  • All Corporate Security personnel are required to sign a letter of non-disclosure which prevents them from divulging sensitive information that they may be exposed to during their assignment.  This policy is strictly enforced.

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
