The position is within the Bell Mobility RF Engineering & Network Performance group. The successful candidate will report to the Manager – RF Benchmarking and Hardware Support and will be responsible for supporting the existing full time staff of engineering professionals responsible for managing all RF Tools and analyzing all RF Data of Bell Mobility’s CDMA/EVDO, HSPA and LTE wireless networks. The selected candidate will work closely with various teams within Wireless Network Operations at Bell Mobility.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Perform sanity checks on the large amount of collected data
- Analyse the processed data and layer 3 messages to identify areas of poor performance and support RF teams to optimize the area
- Maintain internal applications/databases and develop new reports and queries using .NET and Java Script
- Support team on hardware and software issues related to collection tools
- Prepare and issue technical and non-technical reports to Management and Engineering teams
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Minimum of 1 year university in a technical discipline, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent working experience
- Experience with wireless concepts and with TCP layer 3 messages
- Advanced MS Excel and Reporting skills
- Programming skills in
- C# .NET(Visual Studio) or any .NET languages
- Stored procedures (Microsoft SQL server management studio)
· Familiar with the usual office software: Word, PowerPoint, etc.
· Valid driver’s license
Preferred Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and project management skills
- Time and priority management skills.
- Autonomous worker with good organizational skills and capacity to make decisions and assume responsibility over projects
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work on a fast paced team in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Microsoft SQL and Web server administration is an asset
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
