Position: Director of Sales, Street Furniture
Location: 50 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto, ON
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Additional overtime hours as required
Role:
The Director of Sales, Street Furniture manages the Street Level product portfolio and is responsible for meeting revenue targets, sales training, developing innovative media solutions and inventory optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Be the expert and the resource for the Street Level Product Portfolio in all markets
- Create sales strategies, determine pricing and developing sales packages
- Provide Sales Training on all street level products including sales arguments and product positioning
- Develop and deliver client presentations, agency presentations and client market drives
- Assist sales teams to develop new business for street level products
- Provide street level sales forecasts to management and advise on the viability of future acquisitions
- Create and execute launch strategies for new product deployment
- Work with Revenue Management to analyze inventory occupancy and pricing
- Collaborate with Sales Directors, Product Directors and Research to implement multi-product media strategies
- Act as a liaison with Operations, Charting and Production to ensure the smooth execution of client campaigns
- Effectively communicate and prioritize key information and updates to the executive and management teams
Critical Competencies:
The ideal candidate will understand and have a passion for the new dynamics of the media landscape, in addition to having strong relationships with key agency/client personnel. They will demonstrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, manage successfully and communicate effectively both internally and externally. They will also possess a strong desire to win and an engaging leadership style that values teamwork and development. Additionally, the candidate will have:
- Minimum of eight (8) years senior sales and/or management experience in the media industry
- Proven track record of success, leadership and team building
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to develop areas of new opportunity
- Excellent presentation skills
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from recognized post-secondary institution
- Bilingualism is an asset
