Position Description:
The Security Analyst - Security Operations will be a member of the Managed Services Security Governance team and will be responsible to provide advice and guidance to overall Managed Service team as well as conduct risk assessments. In addition, the Security Officer will liaise with customer contacts and Operations teams to track and manage all cyber threats and privacy risks. As part of those responsibilities, they will be required to track and understand new cyber threats and measure those against currently deployed safeguards in order to understand the risks. At times, they will be required to conduct customer and Operational security briefings with the objective to ensure proper safeguarding of the environment(s).
The Security Analyst - Security Operations should have excellent communications skills, customer focused and a team player. They will be providing advice and guidance on risk matters related to cyber and privacy and thus, it is expected that the candidate has in-depth knowledge on these topics. The role further requires individuals who have analytical skills to balance business rules and security best practices. A candidate with an operations background will provide added value to the role, although this is not mandatory.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
* Ensure overall customer contractual requirements are well understood and applied throughout the project
* Develop, document, and uphold library of operational processes related to project security, including:
* Vulnerability management/remediation
* Secure software installations
* Logical and physical access management
* Perimeter security management
* Project documentation distribution
* Security systems change approvals
* Supply chain approvals
* Breach protocols
* Communicate with project members on matters relating to security education and conformity
* Manage security awareness program
* Interface with customer on security governance matters
* Monitor overall staff clearance compliance, including: (Applications & Renewals)
* Establish partnerships with partners
* Conduct spot audits and develop views of known risks
* Build executive reporting structure on project security governance
* Work closely with Bell Corporate Security on overall security governance
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* CISSP and/or CISM
* Deep security subject matter expertise in risk, privacy and core security domains
* Strong leadership, organization and communication
* Proven ability to delegate tasks, manage team capacity, hire and train staff
* Strong security industry relationships
* Well rounded business acumen and ability to think and operate pragmatically
* Comfort in fast paced, demanding work places with frequent after hours work
* Operational background
* Minimum secret clearance required
