The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.
The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.
The Consumer Billing Delivery team provides value-added technical billing solutions for the Bell Residential Services community.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
As a Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of Billing Solutions on behalf of Bell Residential Services. They will also be responsible to:
- Negotiate project deliverables, timelines, methodologies and required resources,
- Manage and coordinate all impacted groups involved in assigned project(s) in order to meet or surpass defined objectives related to time, quality and cost.
- Identify, document and manage;
- Work Breakdown Structures
- Budgets and Year End Estimates
- Project issues and action registers
- Risk Logs including mitigation strategies
- Change Control Requests
- Manage communications internal/external to project team (eg: Business Analysts, developers (vendors), sponsors), which would include providing regular status reports (and other ad hoc presentations) to senior management and sponsors,
- Manage issue resolution with project team, sponsor, other functional areas,
- Manage vendor(s) and contracted deliverables,
- Plan and manage deliverable deployments,
- Facilitate, coordinate, participate in workshops/walkthroughs related to various project deliverables,
- Plan and manage deliverable deployments,
- Remove or influence removal of ‘roadblocks’ to successfully implement project accountabilities/responsibilities.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience with a proven track record of successful project planning, execution and control in an IT environment,
- Strong leadership, interpersonal skills,
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities with little direct supervision,
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills,
- Strong user knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Project, Power Point and Visio.
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Willingness to learn and grow in a competitive IT environment
- PMP Certification
- Knowledge of Bell Project Management processes
- Knowledge of SAP for financial reporting
- Knowledge of large Billing Systems functionality
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
