Responsibilities:
• Work with national advertising agencies and direct clients
• Focus on new business development
• Obtain advertiser briefings and create and present sales proposals to meet client’s marketing needs
• Develop long-term business plans to grow account list and increase current client expenditures
• Market and sell Astral Out-of-Home’s new product developments
• Present and sell product information/marketing solutions to large groups in boardroom settings as well as on a one-on-one basis
• Maintain current relationships and establish new client relationships
• Work with Bell Media Mix for multi-platform opportunities
• Collaborate and contribute to a positive team environment within the sales department
• Provide complete and accurate weekly sales projections to management
• Compile and maintain accurate client information (CRM System)
• Keep up-to-date on outdoor industry developments and related research
• Act as liaison with other departments to ensure excellent level of customer service
• Client entertainment, occasionally outside of regular business hours is required
• Limited travel is required
Qualifications:
• Minimum of five years related agency and direct client business work experience (national clientele)
• College/University education, sales or marketing background
• Previous media planning or buying experience
• Knowledge of Canadian media environment
• Demonstrate ability to provide creative ideas and marketing solutions to clients
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written skills
• Proven ability to develop current and new business
• Strong presentation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to close
• Ability to think creatively
• Problem solving ability
• Ability to meet deadlines
• A strong team player
• Computer literate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Ability to speak/read French is an asset
• Must have access to vehicle for client meetings
